Well, today is Saturday, March 10, 2012.  I slept in and am waiting for my husband to make his absolutely delicious waffles.

I wanted to let you all know that I.m starting a new career at 69.  I figure age has nothing to do with it, it.s actually in your mind.  I work full time now and get up every day like everyone else and go to work and I really would like to do something at home and make the money I need so that I can retire.  I'm getting kind of tired of that every day grind.

I'll keep you posted as to how this works.  I'm in the reading stage now to learn how to do it and hopefully, sometime next week I can begin actually putting it into action.  I'm excited and hopefully it will work.  Till the next time, take care and be well.

We have a friend, Fred, who had a 5 bypass in June and is not doing very well.  His blood pressure has been high, he has A-Fib and generally no good.  He called Jim and I on Sunday and needed to spend some time with someone as he was really down in the dumps.  We picked him up and went to the dog park.  I attached 2 pictures of Fred at the park.  One with our dog, Indy and the other one is with 2 friends he made at the park.  A Chinese Crested and a Schnoozle (Poodle/Schnauzer cross).  After we left the park we went to Golden Corral for dinner.  The next day I received an email from Fred thanking us for the time.  He said he had a great day and was depressed beforehand and was glad we had picked him, cheered him up and overall had a great day.

It's Sunday, March 04, 2012 and I haven't posted anything in a long time, but I am going to begin posting after today.  I'm getting ready to leave to go to the dog park with my husband and a friend of ours and of course, Indy.  Maybe later on today I will go ahead and post.  I've had a lot happen in the past year and I'll be more than happy to share some of that with you all.

Last Sunday

We went to "The Flower Fields" in Carlsbad and saw some of the most beautiful flower's. They had a special display of Orchids and we saw some species we had never seen before, and, of course we both took lots of pictures. They had an antique trailer ride, which we went on and it gave us both a chance to rest.

Easter

We went to Bob and Blanche's house in Palm Springs for Easter. Bob is Dee's son, who is my best friend and I have been spending most all holidys for years with her family. They have all become a part of me, as I have bo family, haven't for many years.We had prime rib, ham and turkey. Everyone brought something to go with the meat, I brought deviled eggs. It was yum!


We all felt the earthquake and the water in the pool was a salt water wave lol. Jim is so funny, he jumped from his chair and came running over to me telling me we were having an earthquake and to do something, but I had lemon meringue pie and so did Blanche whom I was sitting with and we weren't going anywhere. It wasn't bad where we were anyway.
